GLAZING MACHINE

This machine is designed and produced for the production of kitchenware, especially of borosilicate glass (round, square and rectangle shapes). As the yielding point of the borosilicate glass is high, it is required to use an index type glazing machine.

This machine works synchronistically with the press machine on the automatic press line. This synchronization is assured thanks by working together, the control units of the press machine on the one hand, and of the glazing machine on the other.

Products polished  by glazed in the machine, are loaded onto the conveyor via the take-out mechanism commanded by the press machine control unit and the turning device.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

image5Loading products on the glazing machine is done by the 4-arm or 6-arm
rotary take-out mechanism, which works synchronistically with the press and
glazing machines.

Main units of the combustion machine are as follows:

 

 

 

 

 

 

1- Glazing System: 

* Glazing system of the machine is designed and produced according LPG and oxygene use.
* As the combustion machine is designed to burn both round and cornered (square or rectangle) shaped products, there exist turning and fixed burner systems, respectively for round and cornered-shaped products.
* Burners at each of the manifolds of the combustion system donated with check-valve system against the risk of taking into the burner, and withcregulators for the purpose of pressure adjustment. Each burner has needle valves and also special LPG/oxygene mixers, to regulate the oxygene.
*It is recommended to follow operations below successively when burning and extinguishing the burners:
*When starts the burners;
a) turn on LPG valve and burn the burner
b) turn on oxygene slowly
c)adjust the burner at the desired level of hardness, by regulating the LPG and oxygene.
* when stops the burner
a) turn off the LPG and wait the oxygene into the burner to be exhausted totally (approximately 2 or 3 second)
b) turn off the oxygene.

3- Orient Mechanism

image8This mechanism is designed and produced only for the burning and polishing of the cornered products, and set just at the middle (seventh station) of the glazing machine. At the first half of the machine, the product is burned by its two sides and turned by 90° thanks to the orient
mechanism, while at the second half the other two sides are burned and polished.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2 – Cooling System

image9There are six water jacket made of stainless steel along the machine in order to prevent the burner’s flames to cause any damage on the main drive system. Water used in the jacket should be 1 french hardness, maximum. If this level overpassed, water jacket would be blocked soon and be out of order.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4- Drive System

image10* This system consists of three mail functions:
– a 8KW asesynchronous motor a special design Index Driver with brakes, torque limiter and reducer
– a chain proper to the system
* In this system, machine moves inside a station and stops at the time adjusted by the control unit. During the time when is stops, products are burned and polished. So it can be stated that working with Index is especially required for the production of borosilicate glassware. Drive system begins to work, stops and waits automatically according to the orders already loaded on the PLC.

 

 

 

 

 

 

5- Take-out mechanism (unloader mechanism):
This mechanism serves to carry the burned and polished products from the machine to the turning device (inverting machine). During this operation, is used chuck head.

6- Turning device (inverting mechanism)

Products carried by the take-out mechanism, should be turned upside down before let onto the ware conveyor, in order to keep clean in the annealing lehr by bottom side. Turning device mechanism is used for this operation.

7- Products carrying system:

The glazing machine designed and produced according to the production of borosilicate kitchenware consists of the main units and systems hereabove defined, and works synchronistically with other machines and equipments of the press line.
